Machining allowance method for precision mechanical workpiece--TIC

The machining allowance of precision mechanical workpieces can become the blank allowance, which refers to the difference between the blank size and the design size of the part drawing. Under normal circumstances, we can understand it as the thickness of the metal layer cut on the surface of the workpiece during processing.

In our daily life, what methods do we use to calculate the machining allowance of precision mechanical parts? TIC thinks there are three common methods.

1) Look-up table method. According to the machining allowance data provided in the relevant manuals, the machining allowance will be determined after correction in combination with the actual production situation of our factory. This is a method widely adopted by various factories.

2) Empirical estimation method. Determine the machining allowance based on the experience accumulated by the technologists. Generally, in order to prevent the waste from being too small, the estimated margin is always too large. It is often used for single-piece and small batch production.

3) Analytical calculation method. According to theoretical formulas and certain experimental data, the factors affecting the machining allowance of Dongguan mechanical parts are analyzed and calculated to determine the machining allowance. This method is more reasonable, but requires comprehensive and reliable test data, and the calculation is also more complicated. Generally, it is only used in factories where the materials are very expensive or in a few large-scale and mass-produced factories.

There 's a big selection of Miniature Bearings and Instrument Series Ball Bearings with over 300 types available in TIC Bearing.Typical bore sizes of miniature ball bearings start at 3 mm with an outside diameter a mere 10 mm.
